Solana grew up in the Bay Area of Northern California in the early 2000’s, and her earliest memories of creating art were in Waldorf school during her kindergarten and elementary years. Being exposed to creative expression in her early school curriculum shaped her love to paint and draw. Her career started with ink and digital illustration where she completed over 500 commissioned tattoo designs in her first 4 years of working professionally. She enjoys experimenting in ink, pastel, oil and watercolor, and studies oil painting under her great uncle who was a fine art professor at Pratt Institute, and Aunt who studied there and went on to become an esteemed painter, and educator at the MET. Solana’s works can be found in private collections around the US and Mexico, as well as illustrations as tattoos on bodies all over the world.
